Share a Dutch recording with English-speaking colleagues

Use the English text to follow a conversation recorded in Dutch without asking someone to type and translate the whole discussion. The Dutch source transcript is created first. The English translation is a separate text result, so you can compare a passage in both languages.

Check compound words and workplace terms

Dutch compounds, company names and abbreviations can be misheard. A term such as “ondernemingsraad” may also need organisational context in English. Check the Dutch text against the recording and review the translated terminology before sharing it with your team.

Keep page language separate from recording settings

This information page is in English. In the workspace, choose Dutch for the spoken language and English for translation. Use speaker recognition for several voices and check the labels. Download Word, PDF or TXT for each available text version. A translation failure does not remove the original transcript.

From upload to download

  1. Upload your file

Open the workspace, choose your recording and select its spoken language. Set an optional translation language separately and enable speaker recognition if useful.

  2. Review the cost

Check trial availability and the price for the remaining recording. You can pay once without an account. To use tokens, log in with enough balance.

  3. Start processing

Confirm full processing through the payment or token route shown. Follow progress in the workspace; processing time depends on your recording and the queue.

  4. Review and download

Check important passages, then download TXT, PDF or DOCX. A completed translation is a separate result from the source transcript.

A Dutch planning discussion

[Speaker 1] (0.00s – 4.50s)
Is het voorstel al met de ondernemingsraad besproken?

[Speaker 2] (6.00s – 10.50s)
Nog niet. Dat overleg staat voor volgende week gepland.

[Speaker 1] (0.00s – 4.50s)
Has the proposal been discussed with the works council yet?

[Speaker 2] (6.00s – 10.50s)
Not yet. That meeting is scheduled for next week.

Fictional bilingual illustration. “Works council” is a contextual choice for “ondernemingsraad”; verify the terminology used by your organisation. The displayed segment times are illustrative.

Files, languages and limits

Upload formats
MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4, MPEG, MPGA, OGG, OGA, FLAC and WEBM. Video files are processed for audible speech.
Maximum upload
64 MB per file on this installation, with up to 120 minutes of audio. Split longer recordings and choose a smaller file if it exceeds the upload limit.
Text downloads
TXT, PDF and Word (DOCX). A completed translation and the source transcript are separate downloads.
Speakers and time references
With speaker recognition, the text includes speaker labels and start/end times for speech segments. Labels may differ between parts of a longer recording; check who is speaking. Without speaker recognition, you receive continuous text without these segment times.
Quality and keeping results
Check names, figures, specialist terms and quotes against the recording. Unused uploads expire after 24 hours, source audio 24 hours after delivery and guest results after seven days. Download results you want to keep.
Availability
Each account or guest can upload up to five new recordings per UTC day. Shared daily and capacity limits can also restrict uploads temporarily. The workspace shows a message when a limit is reached.

Prefer to use tokens?

Log in to use an existing token balance. Each remaining second of audio uses one token; speaker recognition adds 33%, rounded up. One optional translation is included. Frequently asked questions

Which settings do I need for Dutch to English?

Choose Dutch as the spoken language and English in the optional translation field. The website language is a separate preference and does not set those recording options.

Can I keep the Dutch transcript?

Yes. Download the Dutch source and English translation separately. Keeping both helps you check quotations and specialist terms.

Can I use a recording with Dutch regional accents?

Dutch is supported. Pronunciation, dialect, noise and microphone placement affect recognition, so review names and regional vocabulary in the source and translated text.

What if people switch between Dutch and English?

Choose the main spoken language or use automatic detection. Mixed speech can make recognition and speaker attribution less reliable; check passages where people switch languages.
